Orinda. 4pm. Monthly
Roadside Rally for Peace. On the 11th of every
month a group in Lafayette gathers on an overpass
on Highway 24 to wave American flags at passing
motorists. In riposte, a group will be gathering on
a different overpass, the Hidden Valley Rd.
overpass in Orinda, to wave Earth flags, UN flags,
the flags of various countries, and other symbols
of international goodwill and understanding. Our
message is to celebrate our common humanity with
peoples around the world, to declare that
Militarism does not equal Patriotism, that a belief
in "our country, right or wrong" is unacceptable to
us. Please join us. At the Hidden Valley Road
Overpass (Highway 24), Orinda (Parking is available
on Wanda Lane on the south side of the overpass.
Shuttle service from the Orinda BART station can be
pre-arranged by calling Ken Meyercord at (925)

Dear
Folks
It is just
getting to be too much for me to keep up with the
busy Bay Area calendar. Besides, the calendar is
being handled beautifully by Ken Cheetham from the
Bay Area Progressive Directory (BAPD) at
http://www.bapd.org/notices.html.
So I urge you to check http://www.bapd.org/notices.html
for what is happening in the Bay Area, and to
submit your notices to BAPD at bapd@attbi.com.
When you submit your notice, please start with the
date, time, place, and title. Then you can add a
short description. Be sure to add a
telephone number and/or email and/or website where
more information can be found.
