Women Strike for Peace/
Women for Peace

1963

1974

On June 12 in New York and in San Francisco we helped organize the one million people who demanded an end to the arms race.

 

1988

    


We supported Carolyna Marks in the creation of the Unique Berkeley Peace Wall - also walls in Oakland, Moscow, Hiroshima and Israel (a joint Jewish and Palestinian children's Peace Wall).

 



1991

    


With much community support, we protested the Iraq-Persian Gulf War.
   Since then, we have consistently urged the lifting of the sanctions against Iraq which cause suffering and death of thousands of women, children, and the elderly.
